Our client design and develop exciting ranges of products for the home. They supply many of the UK’s leading retail groups as well as the International markets.
Due to continued success they are looking for a Brand Manager who can create clarity and vision for a brand. The ideal candidate must be creative with strong commercial acumen with an excellent track record in building a specific product area. With a good knowledge of the product development process they will be managing the development of products from early concept to launch. The ideal candidate will have the ability to influence those around them, be flexible, results driven and innovative, this however needs to be grounded in sound commercial thinking. They should be able to demonstrate where they have made an impact within their current position and within a brand. Experience in dealing with factories including factory visits will be advantageous. The successful candidate will have key responsibilities for maintaining and developing existing customer relationships this will include working closely with the field and national sales teams to support the brand and maximise growth opportunities. In addition they must work with the marketing team to make sure the message for the brand resounds throughout sales literature, POS, consumer and trade press and social media.
With 3 year experience within housewares, textiles, gifts, wrapping, interiors or an associated industry, you will ideally be degree educated and have a structured career history progressing from design through to senior buying, creative lead or brand manager roles. The role will be supported by the talented marketing and product development team.
DAY TO DAY ROLE
Product development and its associated areas;
Manage product managers and designers.
Co-ordinate all projects under the brand.
Design brief development with internal and external designers. Packaging briefs and development will form part of the role
Travel to trade shows and factories internationally.
Marketing and its associated areas;
Co-ordinate product launch within key selling periods
Present new products both internally and externally.
Co-ordinate production of catalogues and sales literature and brief marketing team on key directives for the each season
Organise and attend meetings with Directors, senior managers on new product ideas
Stand planning at shows including product display and attendance during key shows
Work with sales team to present new products and in particular with key buyers.
Visitation of key buyer/customer groups for sales and research purposes within the UK and Ireland and on occasion internationally.

The role will be supported by the talented marketing and product development team and the successful candidate will be assisted by a Product Manager.
The department consists of a Marketing Manager Brand and Product Managers, shape and surface designers, packaging and marketing creative, research and development personnel and marketing assistants.
